Hi Ludovic,
do you think it is possible to choose as "New permission for the following users" a Person or Group column in the list/doc library?
For example i have a list with a column named Manager that is a "Person or Group" type, and when I create a new item in the list i am required to enter this field..
So the idea is that when a user submits a new item he chooses the Manager and after the creation only that Manager can edit/approve/reject that item. Otherwise a Manager can approve/reject requests assigned to other managers (like it is now)
The creator gets already read permission thanks to your very useful creation.
Obviously users with manage list permission can always modify the permission for that single item, but the manager would not get manage list permission in this case.

isn't it possible to give the creator contribute and all the other user read only access?
looks like the search form allows to add only single users and not AD groups.
